Description
Kodak Professional Hypo Clearing Agent promotes the removal of fixer from both film and paper and helps to prepare photographic materials to proper archival standards and to shorten final rinse times. This powder washing aid contains enough chemistry to make 3.8L or one gallon of stock solution, which should then be diluted 1:4 to make a total of 19L or five gallons of working solution.
The Brownie Camera Guy says:
Using a wash-aid, especially when printing, is an important step in the archival silver process. I use a wash-aid for both film and print.
I also measure out the powder, by weight, into 4 zip-lock bags to make .95 liters of stock solution each. The shelf life of the powder makes this a very inexpensive way of using this high-quality Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent.
