A BCG Film Changing Bag is an essential piece of a photographers equipment and it is also one of the most simple. Having a changing bag means that a jammed or partly exposed film can be safely removed from the camera and shooting can continue. It allows film to be loaded into a developing tank without having to use a darkroom. If you are processing film at home, without a darkroom, a changing bag will make your life easier.
The BCG changing bag is small enough to fit into a camera bag, yet large enough to allow a camera back to be fully opened or film to be loaded into a tank. This medium size bag, measuring 55 x 60 cm, is big enough for 4×5″ film and film backs to be easily handled. It has a double bag/skin with a zip closure on the nylon inner bag and a velcro closure on the cordura-like exterior. The inner lining is designed to avoid perspiration in prolonged use. The arm insert holes have elastic enclosures on both interior and exterior bags to assure a light-tight fit.
The Brownie Camera Guy says:
BCG Film Changing Bags are manufactured in China. These are a good alternative to other higher priced changing bags for those on a budget. The quality is high and they do the intended job very well.
