Amaloco AM 6006 – Neutral Tone Paper Developer – 1 Liter Concentrate is the right neutral-tone paper developer for variable contrast papers. Variable contrast papers such as the Ilford Multigrade lV RC deluxe require a customized paper developer to achieve better maximum blackening, avoid spots and discoloration and not disrupt the gradation build-up via the filters. Amaloco AM 6006 is a Phenidone-Hydroquinone developer with a low pH value and a large buffer capacity to develop photos with uniform maximum blackening, opacity and gradation for a long time.

The standard processing in AM 6006 is done with a dilution of 1+9, the development time is then 1-1.5 minutes at 20°C. For Kodak Polymax III RC and Baryta papers such as Illford Multigrade IV FB, 1.5-2.0 min. at 20°C is recommended. Longer development times are in principle unnecessary, because the development and maximum blackening are easily achieved at the specified development time. However, you can develop fog-free for up to 5 minutes at 20°C.
