Pushing both minute and second tabs at the same time zeroes the display. Push either minute or seconds to set the timer and then start or stop. It has a loud beeping alarm.
It runs on one AAA battery, which is included.

A very simple but effective timer. Easy to reset in a pinch and to set time. The buttons do stay half pressed in sometimes but still respond. I think mine must have seen its fair share of chemical spills over it but is still going strong.
